Its gonna look exactly like this. Im gonna build an Ar-15. But after that i gotta focus on a new gunsafe... my old one is full.

Not quite an SR25... that would be expensive. I didnt want an m4 styled ar-15 because im not a fan of short barreled 5.56 rifles because the bullet doesnt fully stabilize. Also almost EVERYONE who has an Ar-15 tries for an m4 style. Im going with a 20" Heavy barrel, A2 style stock, A2 upper, A2 handgaurds, A2 sights etc.

After I get the gunsafe all settled I might go after something in .308. Maybe a Spanish CETME.

They are pretty neat. I figured Id better get one soon due to the political stuff goin down and the fact that military surplus ammo is everywhere for it.

For those of us not familiar with the physical size of a 5.56 round <<_<< >>_>>...could you put that bullet right next to something, because your close-up makes that thing look like a .50 right now...

It was the magazine form who leads to me with that supposition ^^ if I had the bullets alone I wouldn't know if it was 5.56 or 7.62 NATO the russian cartridges looks a bit "fat" compared to NATO rounds

5.56x45mm and 7.62x51mm nato are quite different, if you held the two next to each other, you would know.

5.56 is very small its like a smudge bigger then a .22lr (bullet not the entire round) Its very under powered. The only real good thing about it is it flies very fast and very flat. The 7.62x39mm soviet moves a bit slower and drops a bit quicker but it hits very very hard.

I guess a battery probably would of been better.... but oh well. Mountain Dew bottle cap will do the job.

Im hoping the parts kit for the gun gets here sometime next week, if not the it should be here early in the week after next. Takes them about 2 weeks to ship and I got the 3day UPS deal so it gets here a bit quicker, then i gotta get a lower receiver and build it! hopefully I'll have a little less then 700 into it, which for a good quality Ar-15 is NOT a bad deal.

I called them today to see how the progress was. They said they were dipping the barrels in phosphate. So the reason its taking a little while with mine is they had to make the barrels and such. They were also cool about it and switched it over to 2 day shipping so happy day.

The .22 LR compared to a 9 mm parabellum is it that weak ?
I ask because some guns uses it and in therms of fire power I just want to know about it

a 22.lr is made for squirrels and varmit shooting.. 22lr is very tiny, I cant remember who it was but one of the US presidents was shot by one and he didnt know untill later. if it were a 9mm or 5.56 or something similar the results would of been much different.

Slight exageration.

Getting shot by a .22 still hurts like hell.

yeah it would. But prior to that the assasin had shot multiple rounds and the president must of got his adrenaline going and didnt notice it until he was in the limo... then they went to the hospital and got patched up.

So yeah it would hurt, but if your adrenaline is goin and your in a Life and death situation you may not notice getting hit right away.

And probelly due to the fact that a melting bullet hurts more than getting shot so the pain of the 1st bullet would override the second.

Internal organs don't have the same feeling as skin. Most have very little feeling at all
Through hart feels like a heart attack. Through the bone like a broken bone.
Against the bone like a hard punch. Through muscle and fatty tissue like a skin cut
I had a knife thrown at me, thought it just bounce off then I looked
went through the meaty part of my upper arm.
My father was in the Korean war, took shrapnel a couple times.
Once in the face and once in the ass lol. The one in his face he didn't think much of it at the time
the medics made him leave the front line thy thought he was going to die. It went in just to one side of his nose and came out just behind his ear. The one in his ass he didn't even know it was in there till 30 years later when it started to work it self out
Adrenaline play as much a part as dose the ware. But there not all ways a lot of pain

Hopefully I can take it out this weekend and get some shootin done. These things are heavy. But there is like 0 recoil, you feel the gun cycle and thats about it.

Conversion to full auto? HA and spend 20 years in prison with a big man calling me susy, NO THANK YOU! :romance-caress: Im too pretty to go to prison, Id be traded around for cigarettes!

I dont need full auto, the legal way of getting is VERY expensive... of course prison is very bad as well so Semi auto is good for me!

It shoots great! Extremely little recoil and very accurate, Im thinking about getting a .22lr bolt for it so i can cut the costs down for practice and save the real ammo for the range and possibly coyote hunting..

:banana-dance: Im happy.

Yeah, I'll probably just suck it up and shoot normal ammo. I Dont have 200 bucks to drop on the bolt for a 22lr and its not like 5.56 and 223 is horribly expensive.
