I'm having somewhat of a problem with BW. When I run loadout with 11 bots or so, the FPS runs good (about 30-15 FPS) then the game completely pauses and then resumes after a second as if nothing happened. It's gets a lot better after a bit but does anyone know how to fix this? (And the 30-15 was only because I was running a big level with a lot of bots.)

Sys. Specs:
1 Ghz. processor
512 Mb RAM
128 Mb GeForce 5600
120 Gb. HDD (It's not even close to being full if your wondering)
Windows 2000 Pro.

Yeah, it's an old computer but, hey, I got it for free and it has run nice and smooth without any errors or kinks of any kind so far. I think it's caused by the bots switching their weap loadout and the system is cacheing the weaps into the memory.

I get that on line and its a little choppy also at beginning of each game.
And on line my avg.FPS is 80
I just deal with it cause it clears up
Thats with UT04

1GHZ processor is pretty "just" to run UT 2004 itself, I know that UT 2k4 could run on a slower computer, but most of the settings were set on the lowest parameters.
BW eats much more resources but I think there is parameters to reduce the weapons graphical quality to enhance speed

But I can run a game without ballistic loadout with the weap. quality set all the way up to highest without any noticeable drop in FPS.

I downloaded a gaming driver for my vid.card that help a little
Also see what programs are runny in the back ground
And turn off the ones you don't need to play the game
Check the start up menu

Nope, nothing is runnin' in the background. I have no internet connection going into my system so a lot of the usual programs (AV or Firewall) are not on my computer.

Yeas but that without the overhead of bots choosing difference weapons.
