is this possible? it seems like it would be fairly easy to do. i have always wanted ballistic weapons in mass effect 2, it uses unreal engine 3.5. i figured that you would only need to replace the weapon textures and sounds, right? and that seems like it wouldnt be too difficult. does anyone know if this can be done?

I don't know... I ported the Quake 3 weapons on to star trek elite force as the star trek game used the quake 3 engine... same with the C&C series... Yuri's cloning vats should not be mixed with cyborg commandos... but it was so fun!

Anyhoo, I'm not certain but it does sounds.... well, sound ^-^

P.S may want to check with someone with actual experience with the BW engine... hang on... Rainbow 6 with the translocator or redeemer? >:D

It might require some work, but if the game is an FPS with floating guns there shouldn't be problems with them.

I doubt it...

ME 2 (and similar UE3 based games) have no doubt had small changes to the engine. There is also no editor included with most UE3 games, and content is cooked for the game it is made for. Script differences are one of the worst problems however, since none of the code that BW uses would be with other games.
